There's no way we're carrying 5 RB's on the 53

If you give a JAG reps....he will get yards. See all over the league and even here in our history.

I don't blame Williams for being average and being paid to be elite. That is a Carolina issue....is speak in regards to Carolina fixing there issue.

YOU fixate on somehow that is hating Williams.

You put JAGs behind our line last year, no way they outperform DWill.

Also, Cincy has a very good Oline, that one is not a fair comparison. Detrotits line was pretty good last year as well. So those two guys have better odds of producing.

Let's pick some players with a line like ours. Wait...no one has a crappy line like we did. Which makes DWill's production all the more outstanding. Yeah, that's the ticket.

CRA has been on the hate DWill bandwagon for a few years. It is just the way it is. He see DWill as AVERAGE. I see DWill as productive. He takes the contract into consieration for some reason, so NOBODY could live up to that.

1200 yards is production. No way around it. With our line? Damm near Herculean if you ask me.

one of the no namers...williams is still our best rb

he ll be back for at least 2014 i would think

His contract pretty much assures that. I love it. CRA...not so much.

I will admit DWill did wear down towards the end of the year. But, he basically had no help. Tolbert is a fine back, but they offer two different styles.

IF Stewy can stay healthy, and take some of the load off DWill. I don't see why our running attack, with Turner, and Amini, can't be even better than last year.

This very well could be DWill's last hurrah. Hope he does well. Both as a Panther, and a DWill, fan.

Plenty of examples of average RBs racking up 1000 all purpose yards behind all kinds of lines.....

Contracts matter. If a guy plays for the league minimum or has the highest contract in the NFL.....a good season for each is different. Simple and plain.

Everyone healthy? Stewart at 90% is better.

Now Stewart at 90% may not be realistic....

Also have to factor in the 2014 version of Williams will be worse than the year before. Happens at that age

for the record williams is getting 1.8 mill for this season and next, so continue calling him overpaid if you want too.

8th largest cap hit in the NFL for 2014 for RBs....

He is overpaid. He already has pocketed tons of money and it impacts are cap still

Bad investment right there. Like always, and guys like hubby refuse to see.....this isn't about Williams. It is about his contract and the Panthers.....and a 1000 all purpose yards can be found easily. Should not be costing you that cap hit

nothing about his cap in my statement. hes gettin 1,800,000 this and next. in my book thats fair given the market. the cap number is due to the huge contract, before he took a pay cut to get his current pay. if cut, the cap is still there and you have to find a replacement that has the all the tools williams offers ie experience, high career rushing average, know the playbook, good blitz pickup, no off field issues, can catch a pass, low miles, not injury-prone, etc etc. goodluck at that price.

Is cap hit is the 8th largest in the NFL.....bc of how overpaid he is.

Cap hit is what matters. What impacts the team

Cherry picking a Hurney magic'd deal and saying his salary number isn't bad doesn't make him not vastly overpaid

If cut (June 1), it creates 2 mill in cap room. Is rather rent a T.....run the other RBs. Better OL is more important than keep the 2008 RB Dream Team together

More like 6 million. You cant just consider base salary.

again you guys are talking cap. im talking his current salary.

cap is due to the signing bonus, that the great marty hernia gave him. yes thats high, but it would have been higher if williams didnt take a pay cut. he reduce his base for 5 million to 1.8.

hes getting 1.8, thats his pay. hes not overpaid.
