so  you disagree with what the team does or didn't like what we did in the draft you are either dumb or have personal problems.

gotcha, mr. superfans. please educate us further.

I pay little to no attention to what these draft "analysts" say about our picks. Fans are going to be overly emotional so that's to be expected. Our GM and our staff feel like we had a good draft, so I'm fine with that. Assigning grades is ultimately pointless until these guys play anyways.

One talking head says we did great. Another says we screwed up. Just goes to show that 'post draft, pre play' evaluation is just another guessing game.

No, you're not dumb. Fans are always going to be split on their respective drafts.

Sure, it didn't worked out as we envisioned but we got a Fitzgerald/Marshall type of weapon for Cam, leverage against Johnson and Hardy and a mauler and potential stud at the OL.

what type of leverage did the team gain on Hardy? if if doesnt like the numbers the panthers offer, he will go some place that will offer those numbers.

No way we had the best draft this time around. Tampa and Atlanta absolutely killed it, and I think we're pretty close to New Orleans.

Wha?  Tampa and Atlanta's drafts were ok, far from killing it in my opinion.  If I were giving out grades, Carolina and Atlanta would get Bs, Tampa a B- and NO a D.

Atlanta actually did the smart thing in the 1st by staying put and taking the OT they desperately need.  Hageman was a pretty good pick, good value at a position of need.  I like Freeman, but don't they already have the little scat back type RB covered with that kid they tried to sell as an every down back but fails miserably at it?  Jacquizz Rogers (had to look up his name).  I don't think Freeman is an every down back, they needed one of those.  Their other picks were on par with our picks of Boston and Gaffney.  Their B is mostly a result of actually doing the right thing and staying put for Matthews.

Tampa didn't need a WR that badly.  Yea, Evans will make their passing attack more potent but VJax and a 2nd or 3rd round WR from this draft would have sufficed plenty well.  They would have been better off addressing OT or defense in the 1st.  Still Evans is good (I thought he was more mid 1st value than top of the 1st) and helps an area that was weak, I don't ding them for that pick.  ASJ is also a good player and good value where they got him but seriously, their top two picks on pass catchers?  There were better players at positions of bigger need.  I could understand of ASJ was far and away the best player left there (like what happened with Ealy with us) but they probably would have been better off taking Ealy themselves at that point.  The rest of their draft was pretty meh.  I think Sims is ok, but they already have a young workhorse.  If they really wanted a RB I would have taken Tre Mason or Devonte Freeman as a changeup from the muscle hamster.  They already have Bobby Rainey but I would be willing to bet he was a flash in the pan last year.  Not really dependable to be that first choice of a changeup back.  I put a minus on their B for not taking Evans a little higher than I would (if they couldn't trade down 3-5 spots and still feel comfortable they'd get him I wouldn't penalize them much for taking their guy where they could) but I would have gone a different direction in the 2nd in response to their first pick and would have picked a different RB in light of who they already have.

NO laughably gave away their 3rd round pick to move up to take a 1 trick pony that isn't going to be as good at that trick as the guy they let go to Philly.  Cooks could be good, but he's certainly not worth trading up for.  I thought SBJ was a reach in the 2nd.  If they had taken him in the 3rd I'd think it was a solid pick, but this pick screams knee jerk reaction to their opponents taking Evans, Benjamin and ASJ.  They need an OT almost as bad as us (as they have for many years now) and I thought every one of their picks after the 2nd was pointless and not good value where they got them.  They get a D for poor value drafting.
