Speeding ticket

The lone time I was pulled for speeding, the cop claimed to have clocked me from around a bend, shielded by thick trees.

I win. My cop sent a curved radar beam to bust me.

Yeah, it was Highway Patrol. Probably just gonna pay a lawyer to handle it.

A lawyer is always good. Couple of years ago I hit a bicyclist who was on a road he shouldn't have been. It was a two lane road with heavy commercial traffic with a speed limit was 65. But I was cited for reckless driving, pled down to defective vehicle.

how do you run down a cyclist

Strong wind blew him into me. State patrol said they only gave me the ticket to make sure my insurance picks up his medical bills. Which they did.

"...a bicyclist who was on a road he shouldn't have been."

The only roads bicycles are not permitted on are interstates. Otherwise, they have to abide by the same rules as any other vehicle on the road.

Hahaha, you're a funny guy. They're permitted on parts of the interstate in Colorado. I'll grab a picture of the sign that tells bicyclists keep far right.

But there is such a thing as common sense. And this guy wasn't using it. It's a major highway for oil field traffic.

it's just grade school math.  remember the 'train leaving East Puckafug at 80mph and a train leaving West Ballslack at 45mph...'?  Same thing.  Easy to connect the radar/laser to cop's speedo, and then run it through an algorithm to determine the speed of the oncoming vehicle.  Even back woods cops in IN (I have a good friend who is a deputy there) have both forward and backward firing radar.  I would assume every cop car has them.

probably had a really big faucet and comb that he rubbed on his pants to bend it.

Up here in Reidsville I once got pulled over as a passenger. We were going 3 under the speed limit and got told we were going 19 over. Gotta love the police.

Dude, you gotta put together all your threads and posts and realize the common denominator... it's fugging Reidsville! GTFO! Now!
