I definitely am not a fan of the Boston pick and I am not familiar with UNC football.

We brought in DeCoud, Harper, have Lester and Jones and if need be, Godfrey as solid enough depth if he had to make a change back to safety . Would have preferred more offensive line there.

I see the reasoning behind the Gaffney pick but dang, that is one crowded backfield now. Williams, Stew, Tolbert, Barner, and Gaffney. One of them is likely to get cut...probably Barner which means that pick last year was a waste and he should have never been taken in an already crowded backfield. I am hoping it means we part ways with DeAngelo before the season. Quite frankly I'd rather just roll with Barner, Gaffney, and Tolbert this season and in the future but those contracts are brutal.

Big receiver to help out Cam, great value DE to keep our line dominate if someone gets hurt or ends up leaving after this season, Oline help that's hopefully going to help out the run game, even got a CB.... AND a RB at the end for LOLs ....thats the cherry on top that boosts this to a soild A

Gave it a C.  Honestly, the one pick I truly loved was Kony, and he obviously did not fill a need (this year, but I suspect that will change in the not too distant future).  I loved the KK pick last year too so hopefully this one has similar success.

I really wanted to address both OT and CB before Saturday and also think there were opportunities to move down (as evidenced by teams behind us doing it) to gain more picks, which would have been better in my opinion.

Still, I trust what Gettleman has done and believe he has a long term plan.  I am iffy on if we can match the success of '13 this year, but I feel very positive that once the cap starts going up and we start shedding Hurney money that things are going to be very bright.

B - no OT keeps it from being an A.

I would submit that the grade drops if we take an OT. Drafting someone who played T in college just because it's a need doesn't help if they're not gonna be good enough. We already have some mediocre guys.

I don't know if Gman deserves an A, B, or C. It remains to be seen. It may take until next year to see how the Ealy pick turns out. I refuse to  consider a grade below C.

C+/B-

A lot of looking towards 2015/2016. Hate that we only managed to snag one WR in one of the deeper classes in memory while watching other teams load for bear to help their QB. Time for Newton to piggyback the O again.

Benjamin is a project - albeit a reeaaalllyy promising one - who we're going to hope/pray can become a WR1 in a few months. That or Underwood/King is that guy (ahaha) and we give KB some time to get his feet under him. I like that we rolled the dice with him and think he's got a decent to good chance to be good.

Ealy I get due to value and the fact that our DE's are getting so expensive we're going to need to start selling kidneys to pay their contracts. Sucks that he's probably not going to contribute much in 2014, but again will probably look brilliant heading into 2015.

The OG pick.. ok. We're flush with Guards but he's probably better and has a good chance to start. Any help on the OLine welcome I guess.

Not impressed with the UNC Safety at all. He looks like a worse version of Sherrod Martin. Woo.

RB.. I guess ok? He's not going to see the field unless there is a surprise cut or Williams and Tolbert both die in a freak meteor strike or something. At least we're finally smart about when we're drafting RBs. Will probably look better heading into 2015.

CB - I liked that we got a little aggressive to land someone we at least sort of liked. No idea about this guy. Hoping for the best.

Just a very meh draft because of how much focus on future seasons there was. Not meant to be a slight on Gettleman, and he's probably going about this the right way for long term success, but I don't really think we look much better on paper heading into 2014. Hope the Gods of the waiver wire smile on us in a few months.

i give it an A- minimum.

you whiny ***** need to realize we just got a future superstar at WR that we've been griping about cam not having for three years, we grabbed a potential superstar at DE that lets us get out of CJ's contract next year so we can fuging sign cam back to begin with, we grabbed a guard that's a day-one starter and gives us desperately-needed push from the interior and can actually pick up assignments so the tackles don't look like down's kids, we got a corner who can replace captain munnerlyn and not get burnt by anybody tall enough to ride the snoopy land rides at carowinds, and we nailed a value pick at running back that gives us leverage against the two giant double trouble albatrosses round our necks. literally the only questionable pick was boston at safety, and even then we lost mitchell and have no clue how any of the FAs we signed will actually pan out, so i take that back, it was a great pick.

we are one tackle away from being better than the 2013 team that led us to 12-4 and not capfuged and perpetual paraplegics in free agency. plug your drippy cooters and stfu and enjoy the ride, it's going to be awesome
