Offensive tackle - Great minds think alike?

Seriously. Getting sacked is apart of the game yet you have fans on the huddle who will think that cam will believe it's too much and go join another team. Makes no damn sense.

No poo getting sacked is part of the game. But when you are constantly being pressured and sacked and your GM does little to protect you, that would make you think about your other options.

So we're a Super Bowl team? Why would a QB leave a team that just went to the Super Bowl? The team he is currently on will give him the most money simply because he lead them to the Super Bowl.

The Panthers better hope they can win a bidding war for Cam. They don't strike me as the team that could win a bidding war with the cap we have now. We have Hardy to deal with. Our RBs to deal with. And still our line to deal with. All have to be considered when offering a contract. Other teams with more cap would be more willing to throw all they can at Cam.

Exactly! Its not even about sacks. People want to play on a winning team. A team bidding for a QB is most likely a losing one. Why would he leave a winning team to a losing one where he is not guaranteed to win and not be sacked?

You guys are getting a bit tired from a weekend of watching draft.

If Cam goes anywhere, it will be to a team that is probably trying to get better, meaning they suck and pay him big bucks.  Because of their sucking, his sack total might actually go up, not down.

Plus, no QB raises his stock in the NFL free agent market by saying he does not like getting sacked.

Our most immediate move might be to look at the teams who got the top 4 OT's in this years draft.  There will not be room for all of them

That's what I have been trying to say! I mean what would have been our reaction if after drafting Cam, he says in his first presser he does not like getting sacked? This is contact sports man, not kids playing tag.

If DG doesn't start taking protecting Cam seriously, I really don't blame Cam for starting to think about what it would be like behind a good oline somewhere else.

Here is the reality of the situation.

We had a terrible spot to draft an OT this year. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont. We got lucky last year not this year

We are capped strapped and we can not pay for a mid tier LT in free agency.

Now you have to find someone cheap who can do the job.

It really came down to if Hardy was worth his contract and I still say he was worth paying. The team is special because of the DL, TD, and Luke. We have a defense that keeps team at an average of 15 points a game. The front 7 are the main reason the panthers went 12-4. I want to say they had a super long streak of not giving up a TD in the first half.

Cam is good but he wasn't the person carrying the team. As long as the Defense remains the same then we have a chance to win every game this upcoming season.

Lets all forget that Cam literally gets himself sacked 5-10 times a season. The O line may be poor but Cam doesnt do them any favors

Let's also forget how many times he avoids what would've been quick, easy sacks by avoiding the pressure.
