yeah people were generally high on the hurney drafts

he'd probably still be our GM if we had first round picks from 2009 and 2010 on our team right now. maybe we would have been competitive.

The '09 and '10 draft classes were pretty stacked looking back

"What's that got to do with anything?" ...Really???

Clearly u don't get the picture. In football, QB get sacked regularly, it's a reason we have pass rushers. It means anyone playing QB can expect to get sacked. Which coach will want to hire a QB that complains about being sacked? Just like a running back complaining he gets hit cos the oline did not block every single defender. Will you take them serious?

Our offensive line is one of the worst, if not the worst in the nfl and we have done as little as possible to protect our QB entering his 5th year option. He's constantly pressured and hit as a result. Cam doesn't have to be vocal about it. He can just choose to "exercise his options".

On top of the face we dont protect cam very well we dont run the ball very well and he is asked create a running game himself. its ridiculous the load we place on Cam

In the year Joe Flacco won the superbowl, before signing his big deal, he was sacked as much as Cam (35 Flacco vs 36 Cam). This year's SB winner who is about to get a new deal next offseason was sacked more than Cam in the year he won the SB. Thank god QBs understand it's part of the game.

I said this in another thread why would a mediocre o-line be the reason why he leaves when the team was 12-4 last year behind a top 3 defense? So say he does leave and goes to another team with a good to great o-line but a average to mediocre defense. How does that help him to win exactly? Why should he leave the panthers for unknown question marks? The panthers are on the upswing, it makes no sense for him to leave and I am sure the front office will compensate him well. People need to stop making these stupid ass statements about cam leaving because of a bad o-line.

Seriously. Getting sacked is apart of the game yet you have fans on the huddle who will think that cam will believe it's too much and go join another team. Makes no damn sense.

Lets all forget that Cam literally gets himself sacked 5-10 times a season. The O line may be poor but Cam doesnt do them any favors

Yeah there are a couple of plays where cam doesn't do himself any favors by either not setting up in the pocket or some other reason. But how many potential sacks were lost due to cam's escapability?

Hahaha you got me there, Cam does make a lot of plays to avoid sacks. From what i can remember he probable avoid a decent amount of sacks so you could argue it nullifies my original claim :P

So we're a Super Bowl team? Why would a QB leave a team that just went to the Super Bowl? The team he is currently on will give him the most money simply because he lead them to the Super Bowl.

The Panthers better hope they can win a bidding war for Cam. They don't strike me as the team that could win a bidding war with the cap we have now. We have Hardy to deal with. Our RBs to deal with. And still our line to deal with. All have to be considered when offering a contract. Other teams with more cap would be more willing to throw all they can at Cam.

Also just to add i was just trying to point out to the people complaining so much about the OL when the coaching staff would be the ones who know how good they are. Maybe they think if Cam becomes more responsible in the pocket the OL situation improves, its just my two cents on it....
