Offensive tackle - Great minds think alike?

I'm trying not to bitch about the OT situation post draft because there is obvious truth in what was said. We were bad spots at 28 and 60 to get either the top level guys, or even the 2nd level without reaching at 28.

Now, after cuts and if a guy like Roos or another solid vet becomes available, and we DON'T go after them? Rage.

plan?

THERE IS NO PLAN!

plan is to pretend there is no problem, but hope that someone falls into our lap and if they dont, be grateful that we have a supermobile QB build like a house and is great under pressure and hope that the scrubs we "believe" in don't get him killed.

then what is the plan?

Worst case is Chandler starting out there as I don't think they attempt to put Bell out there.  We will probably scan the waiver wire after OTAs and bring in a vet that gets cut.  I know Roos has been brought up on here as a year or two band-aid, which is perfect.  Our interior is set and pretty solid, so it's just a matter of getting our two bookends.  I have no doubt that someone will shake free from one of the other 31 rosters that can play LT at least for 2014.

If DG doesn't start taking protecting Cam seriously, I really don't blame Cam for starting to think about what it would be like behind a good oline somewhere else.

Would you be willing to tell us who you would have drafted and when instead of who we drafted?

Would you be willing to eat a fat piece of humble pie if your expertise is proven to be lacking?

What makes you think Cam is as fickle as you?

Entering the 5th year option of his contract. Has been knocked around and pressured a lot since drafted. At the prime of his career. Could draw tremendous interest. Which equals a huge pay day.

He said he believes who we have is better than who was available. if they believe that then why would they get worse players to protect Newton? You can disagree with their assessment but if that is what they believe then that is what they believe.

There is no QB in the NFL who will leave his team because he is being sacked too much. Who is going to take him?

Cam is mobile and sturdy and makes those around him better. Why do his biggest supporters seem to think he's a fragile little china doll and not capable if winning without 4 probowl WRs?

How many times did Byron Bell let a DE come through unblocked last year? Let that happen from the blindside and there isn't a QB in the NFL that would make it through the regular season.
