dline/pass rush will be better. front 7 will be better and more experienced.  DBs are pretty much just plug and play bc of the guys in front of them. i don't see the defense taking a step back at all. i think they get better.

 

the recileiving corpz absolutely got better just  because we brought in two guys who catch everything thrown their way. benjamin/cotchery/avant >> smith/lafell/ginn as a unit.  

 

you add in underwood and philly who provide a fast deep threat (one of them will rise up) and then the TE class seems to be better so we get cam more targets there.

 

 

the interior of the OL should also be solid thanks to trai getting drafted and the rest of the crowd getting healthy.

 

the only question mark is OT, but even with that, i  don't think it's enough to cause us to move backward.

 

I dont see them being better at all. I see the same defense. And our DB may be just a plug and play during the season, but last year doing the playoffs it showed what having a weak secondary will mean. Far as receivers, they may be better catchers, but our old unit problem was getting open and they're about equal in that area. And then you got our oline which hasn't improved. You looking at basically the same team from last season. I dont expect them to go to the conf finals and I definitely know they're not going to the SB, which puts us on equal from the team last year

I'm getting sick of childish people and their constant whining over the O-line, after u just got done whining about receivers. For the final time you don't run the team, you have no credentials and are about as bright as the ESPN talking heads you say you hate. you say we should draft for need, that's only going to accomplish one thing, Appeasing brats like you, and you honestly give me headaches and make me embarrassed to be a Football fan, I'm a 19 old reading how a bunch of 30/40 year old men think the damn sky is falling because of one draft its pathetic to assume you have any clue, and you'd be better off speaking about constructive or positive things, or discussing actual football stuff as apposed to pointless drama. I was excited to join the huddle to make freinds with fellow Carolina fans who love football in the Panthers as much as me. Instead I find a bunch of bitter children complaining, or making dumb remarks about things they don't completely understand, and quite frankly I'm disappointed. :/

Remove LT from the equation and every single position is either the same player or has been upgraded via free agency or the draft.

There was no upgrading LT once Gross retired. However, there will be plenty of vets who are staying quality who get cut this summer. Dave will bring one in to be a 1-2 year stop gap and he will either draft or sign a free agent next year to replace Gross.

Once a vet is signed after cuts this team will be drastically improved from last year. The defense is pretty equal but the offense will be upgraded with Turner, Silatolu, Benjamin, & Cotchery.

Cam is poised for a 40+ TD season. It's a prime year for him to explode.

Carolina is gonna win the division again, while being overlooked & disrespected all year long... Again.

Ah you seem to think so but as usual you have no idea how the season will play out, and yet you still complain. What they wouldn't let you join the NFL total access team ? Your almost ignorant enough to be Mike Mayock. Though I hate to insult a panthers fan, even one as foolish and discontent as you. So tell me, were you among the lynch mob that wanted to fire Rivera ? Those same fools that now sing his praises ?

It would seem that not having a left tackle already designated has defined this as a building year while if we had picked a 2nd or 3rd round tackle we would be making a superbowl run.  Funny how 1 position can totally change how people react to us.  Then again weren't we expected to finish 4th in the division last year.  I personally think we will be fine actually.

not so much hope, but I refuse to make an opinion or complain without recent data to back it up. for example why not save your comments for after the fifth game of this coming season, by then you should see the team as it is to be that year.

I've seen 3 years of Bell to know how bad he is and Chandler is average, but serviceable and he will be playing a new position next season. What the fug have you been paying attention to?

I've never missed a panthers game, and although Bell's not great and our line needs work we are still a good team besides , teams are erratic year to year because of injurys and guys stepping up, happens all the time (case and point texans) who were a playoff team, who went straight to the bottom or the chiefs who went to the post season . Fact is you don't know how a season will go, and your pointless speculation and CONSTANT complaining means nothing. So for at least the off season try to lay off the downers
