I hope that somehow he is able to compete on the outside and be a rotational player with White.

I know the staff said he'll compete at nickel, but coming off of an achilles injury I don't see him out fairing well chasing guys like Cooks, Harvin, Cobb, and even Smitty.

My hope is that he can just be a rotational corner this year.

Counting our draft picks, I think are secondary is much stronger now than it was last year.

 

Me too.  I'm cautiously optimistic that Cason may really surprise people.  I think he has a chance to be pretty damn good being reunited with Rivera and playing behind our front seven.  I hate that we lost Mike Mitchell, but both the veteran safeties we brought in are better than he ever was before coming here.  Melvin White has a year under his belt and hopefully Bene works out.

Well if you're going to pay Godfrey like a premiere CB (Thanks Hurney), you may as well give him a chance to play the position.
