Gettleman and Rivera post-Draft presser

Well id like to know who's playing LT. And if its Bell, who's playing RT?

Bell/Chandler at left, likely Garry Williams at right.

Its also possible we kick Amini out to LT, then put Trai and Kug at guard.

Coaches seem to think Bell is better suited to LT rather than RT.  For now I'll believe them simply because he's pretty awful at RT.

Then why did he put Pressley in there with the receivers?

Person also said that he thinks Pressley is playing WR.

Also it might have happened a while back so it might not be a position switch.

Sorry dude I don't know and honestly didn't hear him mention Pressley

I am in the minority, but I think with the addition of Benjamin, Cotchery, and Avant along with the development of King and McNutt, that we are better at WR than last year.

Other than DG reflecting on his days with the Giants and saying the answer might be on the roster, why so much faith in King and McNutt?  Cruz was an anomaly ... and a lot of luck.  For every Cruz there are 1000 that never materialized into anything.  Seriously, they couldn't crack the regular active roster to get playing time last year.  Why is one of them the answer for next year?

On a similar note, wasn't Chandler a pedestrian DT before the Panthers moved him to the OL.  Did I miss his breakout season last year ... no.   If we don't move an average RT to be a subpar LT, everything is OK because Chandler will fill that role?  Really??

I never said that King or McNutt were going to be Victor Cruz. They're in the same spot as they were last year in the rotation, so if they are improved as players then as a whole, the group got better. In essence:

KB > 2013 Smitty

Cotchery + Avant > Ginn + Lafell

2014 King + McNutt > 2013 King + McNutt

Therefore, IMO, the group as a whole improved.

I see your point.  IMO, I think it is a wash at #2 and #3, neither group is stellar.  KB is a big ? and we will hope for the best.  He won't bully the pro CBs like he did in college.  Despite Smitty's dropoff last year, he was still pretty good.

I would feel a lot better if we added Latimer to this group.  He has the best hands in the draft and does everything right.  If he was in a better program, I think his numbers would have been huge.

When Lattimer was drafted, they were talking about how he learned to run goid routes. Said he had great measurable a and hands, but needed to learn how to use them.

Didn't he have the lowest drop percentage of any WR??  KB, Olsen and Lattimer would be fun to watch.

Their comments were not about drops or hands. It was about how he needed to put in a lot of work learning to run routes before he made an impact.

Not saying I agree...just a comment in nfln that was made.
