Denicos Allen is the guy I've also been hyping up as well.

At the moment he doesn't have much competition (D.J. Smith and Ben Jacobs) and he clearly has some talent.

His size is a slight problem but he's heady, has pretty good lateral speed, great pass rusher, and seems to have tons of heart.

I think Allen and Philly Brown make the final 53.

Good return guy.  $.25 unofficial 40, 4.31 official

I was in awe of this guy like 7 years ago when his HS highlight took the internet by storm.  If he does make it, I feel like it'll have to be him or Barner, skillsets are almost identical.

Holy shizzballs Allen is a wrap up tackler with burst... Dafuq didn't he get drafted? Must be a glaring weakness somewhere but bulk up and could be TD economy class lol

Sent from my SCH-I545 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

The glaring weakness is that he's the size of your average NFL corner, but he's playing linebacker.

If I'm the Panthers I'm leaving this kid at LB because his heart and desire to prove people wrong is going to take him somewhere.

In his 4 year career at MSU he recorded 278 tackle's, 46 tackle's for a loss, 21 QB hurries, 19.5 sacks, 7 pass break-up's, 2 forced fumble, 1 interception, 1 blocked punt, 1 fumble return for a TD, and he even returned two punts.

This kid can ball!

If Allen can bulk up to 230 (and not lose any quickness) by the start of training camp, he will make this team.

There is no doubt in my mind that he will show out and with limited completion at the linebacker position, he's got a chance

SLB: Thomas Davis, Jason Williams, Denicos Allen

MLB: Luke Kuechly, D.J. Smith

WLB: A.J. Klein, Chase Blackburn

Let's get it!!!

Sounds like a potential replacement for Jordan Senn.

I am still very disapointed by Connor Shaw being a brown and not a Panthers.

Just watch the 4th quarter of this game and the OT and you will see a futur probowler.

Only a great QB can do something like that, and Shaw is injured..

And who's playing against Shaw? Our second pick..

Our second round DE can't prevent an injured UDFA QB from destroying his defense.. in 15 minutes!!

Manziel should be worried..

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
