love this pick, he was one of the RBs i thought would be available late in the draft that would be great value

 

DG is planning for down the road when we cut lose our overpaid RBs. Rotating a stable of cheap mid-late round RBs is the best way to go in todays NFL 

Exactly. He and Barner are there for us when we lose D-Will and Stew. They're not permanent fixtures, but cheap options for now. We'll end up drafting a stud in a few years to take the bulk of carries. Until then, this kid is 200 lbs and runs the 40 yard dash in 4.49. I'll fuging take that all day for a late round pick.

I don't know if it's been said or not but this guy reminds me so much of Toby Gerhart. 

 

Also, I remember when we wasted that pick on Kalil when we already had a starting center.  Or that year when we draft Charles Johnson when we already had Peppers and Rucker.  Or that year when we drafted Luke Kuechly when we already had Jon Beason.

 

I just don't understand why we keep drafting players at positions where we already have starters.  It's like we're thinking about the future or something.

I didn't see the same shiftiness and overall arsenal of moves from Barner that I see in Reaves. Reaves also looks like he is able to break tackles much easier than Barner could/can.

That's just my opinion.
