Smart GMs draft leverage.

Regarding the draft I am reserving my comments until the season starts. My concerns surround  the OT and DB positions which we still have time to address I hope.

Ealy was considered by many to be a late first rounder.  Now he has a chip on his shoulder.  Good.  I cannot believe how people here did not see the need to draft a DE.

2. Greg Hardy-thinks he is worth elite DE money because he had a good 2013, but got a lot of his sacks off some weak sisters in 2013--they came in bunches vs. rookies and reserves, in some cases.

3, CJ will be earning what Cam is set to get- Do you really think he is worth it?

 

Gettlemen had no options but to open the checkbook wide when dealing with the DEs.  Now he has an option.  You can't have 2 elite DEs on second contracts while your QB enters the negotiating room. Since it takes DEs a bit of time to develop, this is a VERY SMART move.  Our pass rush is the pulse of this team--more than OT is.
