Josh Gordon will be banned for the season

think a lot of people would agree with that point, and it is stupid. but what's more stupid is Gordon has been warned probably close to 10 million times that this would happen if he kept smoking.

is it dumb that weed results in a year long suspension- yes. is it more dumb he kept smoking weed- yes.

Oh I agree. I just think the NFL needs to be more balanced with some of these suspensions.

I mean Aldon Smith gets arrested and charged with a felony for yelling bomb in an airport. Suspension? Not that I've seen.

Second or third in the NFL I guess. I'm not defending his drug use, but 16 games is ridicuous. We're not talking about an arrest here.

I'm not sure, but I think you have to fail several tests before it even is brought out to the public. So in reality this could be like his 5th, 6th, 7th failed test.

Strange silence from all the people wanting to trade for him....

Does the NFL do lifetime bans for failed drug tests?

If not I'd still trade a 7th for him to have him for 2015. He'll be the same age as KB...

Yeah, it could be ridiculous.

Except for the fact that these guys KNOW what will happen because they have been TOLD what will happen.

So, you know what?

NOT the NFL's fault.

That was not the point of my post.

But your point is secondary to my point.

And superfluous to my point, with the knowledge that these guys have been informed beforehand about what will happen.

So, yeah, you can let Gordon off the hook all you want.  But its nobody's fault but his own.

Neither of my posts have blamed either party. I'm just complaining about an outdated policy that needs review.
