Yeah, I think they're defense will take a big step backwards.  Smith is almost certainly miss significant time, the other Smith is getting old, Bowman will miss time, and they're corners are pretty shitty.  Ward was a nice pickup though.  I like his game.

Not sure I would call an $8 million dollar cap hit "pretty reasonable". That's precisely why the idea of him coming here wasn't very good.

Edit: Spotrac updated his contract after the trade, still looking at a $6 million dollar cap hit in 2015, and 2016. Not worth it IMO.

Maybe not for us because we are broke.  But 6 mil for Johnson isn't bad.  He has been Bills go to receiver for several years now.  I know it's the Bills but he is a pretty good player.

The fact that the Bills were in such a hurry to run him off and trade up to draft a WR this year should be plenty reason to stay away.
