Anybody besides me nervous about offensive tackle?

Let's be honest here. Does anyone actually believe Bell can play LT, seriously? He can barely play the right side. We have to take a tackle tonight and hope for the best.

If not Cam will just have to run right every play.

Just looking for depth, and hoping for a surprise starter at this point.

I expect Gettleman to bring in some guys after cuts as the season gets closer like he did last year though.

This is my fear. We need depth in a bad way.

We have 6 more draft picks.

Then we have an offseason and preseason where other teams will cut higher-priced players that can still play to replace them with lower-priced rookies that they feel can do the job.

So, no, I'm not nervous NOW.

OT CORNELIUS LUCAS, KANSAS STATE - two-time All-Big 12 at LT, the biggest offensive lineman at the NFL Scouting Combine...also had the longest arms there...didn't do drills due to injury. One writer: "a terrific pass blocker who uses his length and feet to really shut down opponents... he looks more like a second round pick with immense upside as a blind side protector.... Lucas is listed at 6’9” 328lbs and is just an enormous human being. He looks great, carries the weight extremely well, and is just a remarkable athlete. ... He has great feet and moves well, whether going laterally or moving up the field. ... Lucas can move well and he gets to the second level easily and effectively... He really handles speed rushers well... He is extremely light on his feet for his size... there is little to suggest that he cannot be a plug and play left tackle at the next level because of how well he pass blocks."

We're getting an OT today guys. Calm your tits. It's not that big of a deal.

The only way we DON'T get an OT is if a CB/WR/S falls to us in both rounds 2 and 3, and I don't see those positions being necessarily BPA to the extent enough to warrant NOT drafting an OT.

I don't think anyone is left in the draft that can start at LT day one.

As has been mentioned, the Titans now have 3 tackles, and if I am not mistaken, the Rams do to.  With the salary cap we now have, we can sign someone on a 2 yr deal and let our guys develop.

OT SEANTREL HENDERSON, MIAMI - one site: "He's teased with clear first round talent throughout his career ... Henderson's talent is as undeniable as is his incredible size and body control. The 6-foot-7, 331 pounder moves well and has impressive strength. Some scouts have compared him, athletically speaking, to Minnesota Vikings OT Phil Loadholt. Whereas Loadholt has been the picture of consistency (starting 78 of a possible 80 games since earning a second round selection in 2009), Henderson's unreliability (and immaturity) could push him deep into day three"
Henderson: “I felt like I had a lot of maturing to do and I feel like I have,” he said. “Now I’m ready to move onto the next level.” Henderson said

Nervous? yes. Excited? yes. Why? I believe we will address the line with at least 2 picks over next couple of days. Add in the fact I think Getts will sign another vet to compete as well on the line and I'm sitting back drinking some whiskey with a cigar and watching the show.

I'm not sure what's going on at OT.  We hardly sniffed any of the FA OTs and haven't really been scouting rookie OTs all that hard, at least not compared to WR.  I see it being one of 3 options:  1. Major smokescreen 2. The staff knows something we don't regarding guys currently on the roster 3. We're fuged

I sure hope it's not #3.
