That could be said about any position, especially when at least 224 players are drafted every year not including un drafted free agents and when teams can only keep 52 active players each game, of course I could pull up stats that show players that werent successful

I am pretty sure the NFL only tests standing vertical at the combine, while the NBA tests both standing and max vert (with a running start).  There are a lot of guys in the NBA with a 32" standing vert that have over 40" max verts.  Hopefully KB falls in that category.
