Eat your Crow KB Haters

It's actually 63.9%.

Actually your both right.  The Nation Statistics Center changes that value every 15 minutes or so. You can even track it on their website.

KB is going to be fine in the NFL.  He's big and strong enough to beat jams at the line which is considered one of the biggest developments you need to make in the NFL at wide receiver.  He may time slow, but watching him play he's pretty fast (not elite speed by any means).  I'd have been fine with LaFell is he could excuse his drops with incredible catches, I think Benjamin can do just that.

I admit that I didn't think it would be Benjamin. I can't believe we passed on Lee but I'm not going to judge Benjamin until his rookie contract is up. I'm excited to see him develop but I still think it's going to be a rough transition.

ok maybe a bit harsh.

but i found most posters, including myself saying kelvin has the most upside of any receiver in this draft but with DG's comments about the route tree it didnt look like he would draft him.

I watched DG's presser and this is what he said, i'm paraphrasing

"the only reciever in this draft who can run the whole tree is Odell. Kelvin can run it more than most..."

and remember what i said AceBoogie from the beginning of the offseason, DG was going to get Cam weapons. And he's not done yet.

I don't have any crow to eat.

I wanted Evans, which we were never in the position to get, and we got the only other receiver in the draft that was as physically imposing, and he has a higher ceiling than Evans.

We did good, guys. We did good.

The only people crying will be the ones expecting a WR that can step in as a top receiver right away. I'll rightly have my expectations very low.

KB is a day one starter, and red zone threat.

I'd say that is an impact player which is all you can ask for with a first round pick.

I'm willing to bet he'll be.more than that before next season is over.

You know who you are. What happened to no chance? I took names don't make me call you out.

There are no "haters" and no crow to eat....grow the fug up.

He is the pick...he is talented...he has tremendous upside...but, he is a little raw and has a boom or bust feel about him.

He still worries me in that aspect. But, I was also worried about the same things the last time we picked a big boom or busy prospect with similar questions...and that has turned out damn fine.

I trust our FO did their homework and made the right pick. With how quick they turned in the pick , he definitely seemed to be their guy from the start.

Welcome KB.....now get your ass to work.

Shouldnt the author of this thtead be eating crow? He whined non stop about receiverr and how the team was doomed despite beinf pre-draft. Now the team takes a receiver like most expected us to and he wants others to eat crow?

94% of what Bill Polian says is bullshlt.  Demented, out-dated curmudgeon.

His current occupation is what, and where?

And what is yours or mine?  :)

I have heard the stat before Polian said it--however, this is a strong year for WRs and I do not think what has happened in the past is applicable.

Yeah at first I wasn't really excited about the pick.  However I then said let take a look at his stats.  His stats read someone who was worthy of a first round pick.  Then I said let me take a look at some highlights.  I love his ability to high point the ball and his ability to get two feet down in the endzone.  On one of his catches in the endzone, he was able to toe-tap that thing like a gritty vet in the NFL.  That was amazing, especially considering he only needed one foot to come down in the college game.  So I'm really starting to love this pick.  I thought initially the Panthers was blinded by his size, but this kid have great skills.

With all that said, I'd love if we double dipped, even with our problems with OT.  You all know my favoritism towards Jordan Matthews.  There is a realistic chance he will still be on the board by our pick.  Can you imagine the weaponry we would have with Benjamin and Matthews?  I like that a lot.  Plus if there is a run on OTs in the early second, that means the best leftovers will be available at our pick in the third.  Just as I envisioned.  So we could draft James Hurst in the third or Antonio Richardson who if healthy, is your classic probowl type LT.
