I'm not sure if Robinson would be my #1 OT.  He's kind of the Clowney of the OTs.  The physicality is ideal, but he's raw in terms of pass protection.  He's more of a mauling run blocker.  I'm not sure I'd take him over Matthews.

Unlikely that will happen so I would take Clowney. Take best player in draft and move on.

I could see that. I'm sure houston has seen a ton of Texas a&m games, so they know how good he can be

My logic for Robinson is that, you don't need him to be a LT immediately. You could let him be a dominant, powerful RT for a few years, then move him over.

Yep, I'm not sure that adding just another guy at QB is going to help them.  They already have some decent backup options.  Their issue is that if you have more than one QB, that means you don't have a QB.

People keep saying this, but I just don't see it.  The production simply doesn't match up with the ability.  IMO, Clowney is the classic bust in the making.  In my mind, production not matching up with ability is probably the biggest on field red flag of them all.

 

 

Clowney could have come out of highschool and been a starter in the NFL.  Freaks like him don't come around often.

 

His ceiling is GOAT, his floor is somewhere around Peppers.

 

It's probably worth the risk.  I'm glad we don't have to make the decision though.

agreed.They do not have a starting QB and I think Yates , Keenum, and Fitzpatrick are all on the chopping block. I don't think Mettenberger beats them out.

 i think he has talent but when he actually gets blocked by NFL OL his dominance will not be so obvious.That is the difference between potential and effort. Maybe he can go to the Texans and be shown what's Watt and learn something.
