Draft Build Up

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

I have to find a local sports bar to watch the Draft tonight. I was suppose to go to a wine tasting at 6. I was going to go there and get a free buzz ( i am cheap) then go to a bar where other fans will be to watch the draft. I am excited. I am curious to see who we will get. Dave has been so vague that I really have no clue who we are going to draft. Should be a thrill tonight

If you don't hear from me, after you get done celebrating my absence, say a prayer. My fiancée probably killed me for throwing the remote through the tv.

Godspeed, AceBoogie, Godspeed.

I remember sitting there last draft sweating bullets hoping that Star would drop to us and he did. I was so happy that night.

That was the best draft experience I've ever had. Truly got the full draft experience that night. I was soooo pumped we got star

One thing I think we might see in future drafts: the Panthers first round choice not necessarily taking the full ten minutes.

Marty Hurney loved to trade up and down in the Draft.  Dave Gettleman doesn't.  He may not be that interested in what trade offers might come, so if a team wanting to trade with us doesn't call quickly, they may just be too late.

I do have a feeling we go the full ten minutes tonight if for no other reason then that there'll be a lot to talk about in the War Room.  But ya never know.  If they have someone fall to them whom they covet as much as they did Star Lotulelei last draft, the suspense could be over in no time (again).

This draft is probably the least excited I have been about a draft in a long time. The extra time and hype is just too much. Less is more. Im ready for it to be over with.

That's the philosophy I use during sexy time.

Probably not many like that right now.

And mind you, it's not just the Panthers.  This whole Draft is shaping up as the most wide open, unpredictable Draft we've seen in a long, long, long time.

That fact only adds to the overall excitement.

Many people I know who are sports fans have expressed similar opinions. It has nothing to do with the players, but more the delay and over analysis.

Wouldn't it be nuts if we all stayed up to watch the pick, and the Panthers traded back into the second round. LOL

I like the old draft format much better.

Me too.
