I like Benjamin but Lee is better god damn it

Lee may be a bit more polished in route running....but KB fits us much better schematically and gives us blatant mismatches out wide. Defenses aren't just going to be able to throw 8 or 9 in the box and play press man with KB out there...it's a big play waiting to happen. Lee could be shut down with decent corner play in those situations considering he doesn't really have a size advantage.

One more thing about KB is that he breaks the jam really well and is a legitimate yaccer, and he also has the potential to be a crushing blocker at the wr position.

Mcshay just said he dropped more balls than any top wr he evaluated. The Panthers have always failed with evaluating wide receivers, I believe this trend will continue

Then he didn't evaluate Lee very well who had a drop rate of 12%... easily the worst drop rate out of all the wide outs in the draft.

Doesn't change the fact that KB drops balls from time to time. We all know how that was a red flag with Lafell coming out of college and his drops drove us all crazy

It's a concentration issue not a hereditary issues, so it can be coached out.

Personally, I believe by the time Prohel got to LaFell it was too late; once you get to 25 years of age (third year in the league), you've pretty much molded yourself into what you're going to be.

Running Benjamin through some hand-eye drills and jug drills should help him get rid of that concentration habit.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that Proehl will tell him that he was brought in to be a big play threat not a YAC receiver, so quit worrying about what you're going to do after the catch and worry about securing the catch.
