REPORT: Joel Bitonio will be the pick at 28

I prefer my LT to be a little lighter and more agile. Also, technique trumps size- see Ryan Kalil.

This. Hog mollies across the board expect LT and C. He is as agile as it gets, pulls, kicks, and works well in space. His combine just backs that up because he was a top tier performer in virtually all the categories.

Arm length seems to be...I don't know, stupid- Bitonio's arms are longer than those of Joe Thomas and Jake Long.

I'm not worried about his arm length because in my opinion that measurable is overrated.

If you're stronger and have a sturdier foundation (hips, thighs, and calves) then you're going to be able to push defensive end's back instead of just keeping them at bay with your long arms.

While Bitonio's 4.9 40 was impressive, his 22 bench press reps were not.

His bench press reps put him in the bottom three... call me crazy but I like my LT's to have some strength to go with their agility.

If Gettleman was serious about sticking with the BPA route there's no way this guy could be in consideration.  I love him as a second round OL because of his potential versatility but no way in the first.

If Gettleman thinks Bitonio is worth a 1st round grade in his mind and won't be there when we pick at 60, he hopefully can trade down a few picks while picking up another 3rd or 4th round pick this year and still get Bitonio at 35 or 40. Then he can get a wide receiver in the second and a wide receiver and a defensive back in the 3rd. With Kugbilla being essentially a 2014 pick and a BPA pick in the fourth round this year, we would have 6 picks in the top 125 picks.  Ought to get a few starters and several contributors right away.

22 reps isn't something to sneeze at, and watching him you can tell he has very good functional strength. Plus he has the frame to put on 5-10 healthy lbs on, via a NFL level strength and conditioning program once he makes football his full-time job.
