would not be mad with this pick, he will be a plug in play at RT, maybe a future LT a la Gross

but man would it have been nice to have Gross one more year to tutor this guy if he is the pick

Strengths

Plays with vinegar and seeks to bury defenders -- nasty finisher who runs his feet on contact and consistently blocks defenders off the screen. Extremely tough and durable. Highly versatile -- can play any position on the line. Outstanding personal character and football character -- work ethic, leadership and responsibility are all exemplary. Produced the best 10-yard split (1.69 seconds) and 20-yard split (2.80) of any offensive lineman at the combine. Weaknesses

Tends to shoot his hands wide and needs to improve placement -- too grabby. Slips off blocks and could stand to play more under control. Operated heavily out of a 2-point stance and might need to get acclimated to playing with his hand in the dirt. Average knee bend in pass protection. Draft Projection

Round 2 Bottom Line

An undersized college left tackle who projects best to the inside in the pros. Displays the tenacity, leg drive and mean streak that is highly coveted by OL coaches and could drive up his draft status. Could require some initial patience moving inside, yet possesses the skill set, intelligence and desire to successfully convert.

Definitely a Hog Molly. We know how the g-man loves as hog mollies.

At 302 lbs? No... he is not a hog mollie.

You can be a mean, and nasty player, but that makes you mean and nasty... not a big hog-mollie.

I prefer my LT to be a little lighter and more agile. Also, technique trumps size- see Ryan Kalil.

When it comes to hog mollies I really do trust Gettleman.  If he thinks that Bitonio is an elite player who can start for us this year and can play tackle, then bring him in.  He knows what else is out there and where they will go, he knows what he has to have to be competitive and what he is looking for.

I would like a big productive WR who can be our next Moose and maybe a speedy smaller guy who can be our next Smitty wannabee.  Throw in a CB and maybe a S or FS with good press coverage skills and we have a competitve group going into camp.

If Gettleman was serious about sticking with the BPA route there's no way this guy could be in consideration. I love him as a second round OL because of his potential versatility but no way in the first.

We don't know what DG's board looks like.

But yet you think Benjamin could be a first rd pick?
