Yep.

Just became a hard realization that I can cross off all those WR's I was hoping for and pencil in someone like Abbrederis in the third.

You say that like it's a bad thing. So ESPN won't be hyping our draft picks, so what? a week from now no one will remember what draft grade Kiper is gonna give us.

Truthfully, the way 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 drafts went....he has to play it safe in the draft for awhile. We have too many positions that need upgrades to be going all boom/bust type picks! Guaranteed starters, even if they never make a pro bowl. Above average workhorses.....need about 7 of them. The boom/bust half our picks from then on

I love dem "sexy" picks though!

I want a Kelvin Benjamin or an Allen Robinson on the team. I was in favor of drafting Cam and would've lost it if we didnt.

I definitely understand your guys side of the argument though.

Like GnJ said we haven't exactly put ourselves in the best positron to go for that home run pick this year.

The Huddle exploding may actually be a good sign. Exploded when Luke was picked, Short was picked, Klein was picked, etc.  Also admittedly, sometimes the explosion is warranted. Sometimes, the best pick isn't sexy. Bitonio wouldn't be...but IMO he'd sure as hell be a lot better than the thought of Byron Bell at LT and (hopefully) an answer to Gross retiring. For a guy who has been compared to Gross by some, and is similar in size, I don't see the hate this pick would generate other than him not being a flashy WR like so many want.

I'd also just like to reiterate this point. So many hate on the Kipers/McShay's of the world, while then taking their draft projections and boards as the gospel for player evaluation. For all we know, GMan may have Bitonio pegged as a Top 20 guy. Not to mention so many of the gurus and draft sites have him as a late first to early 2nd guy anyway. Whoever we pick, I'll trust the staff's decision until proven otherwise.

Remember a few years ago when Chad Ford said the Bobcats had decided to take Thomas Robinson with the second overall pick?  Lol I don't believe a bit of this. Would rather take him than Shazier.... or any defensive player for that matter honestly
