Benjamin, Lee and Pryor...

To be fair JOAT, we've all seen our share of 'physical specimens' who didn't turn out to be 'football players'.

Benjamin worries me like that.

If he's the pick, I hope you're right.

You're 100% right, but I just think he'll be very good. I don't love his hands or his age, but I love his demeanor and think there's justification in taking a risk with so much potential; it worked 3 years ago with way more on the line.

I disagree, he's such a physical specimen with great tangibles he easily becomes a top target. He has a tremendous catch radius and the ball skills to go with it. Yes, he's raw, but fades and jump balls would be easy pickings for him.

I am just afraid of his route running does not consist of a full repetoire of skills.  Great physical speciman, but not sure he is a complete player.  I have no idea, but guess I will trust Gman on this one.

The amount of emphasis Gettleman has put on route running makes me think Robinson would be taken over Benjamin if both are available.

A training camp with proehl and our new vets should bring him up to speed quickly.

What the hell is the beef with KB??? Is it the dreads?

I actually agree with you on this one. Dude was a complete beast last season. I trust that Proehl and veterans like Avant and Cotchery can help teach him the route tree.

He's like the WR version of Cam, raw but too much upside to pass on. Hell at worst you can lob it up to him in the redzone. We've never had anyone close to what he can do since drafting Cam.

I really dont see the huge knock on Benjamin either. His route running really isnt that bad to me for someone his size, i have seen tape of him juking defenders out their shoes and even if he doesnt get open with good route running he just shoves defenders off of him which is what the top WRs in the league do now anyway. Can you imagine Trufant trying to cover Benjamin? Dude has drops but give him a training camp with Prohel and im sure we will see improvement, he made plays whenever his team needed him the most with ridiculous catches. He hasnt scratched how good he can be yet, i will be intrigued to see what that is whether we draft him or not.

I would pass on Lee in the 1st R with his horrid 12.3% drop rate

I agree. Learning to get better hands isn't something that's easy to teach in the nfl. That drop rate scares the crap out of me.

Benjamin doesn't make sense. Gettleman has preached knowing the route tree, and not drafting projects... Benjamin doesn't seem like a blue goose.
