Ja'Wuan James at 28?

How's the blind hate working on your end?

Didn't say I'd agree with the choice. Just said if they believe he's worth a first rounder, i could see it. I don't think he is, but I'm not an NFL Scout. The people determining these choice actually get paid to do so.

As with any other draft choice I haven't liked in Panthers history (and there have been many), I'd hope they were right and I was wrong.

I don't hate Gettelmen. I want him to succeed but I won't hold my tongue when I think he's made a bad move. Just like I was with Hurney, Seifert and Capers.

You know deep in your chest you would be disappointed with Juwan in the 1st round. You don't have to add the caveat "I'm not a scout" none of us are. You don't have to be if you disagree with a move.

Where do you see that?

"Surprisingly light feet also stand out while run-blocking, as does his competitive spirit.

Powerful at the point of attack and can drive defenders off the ball"

I watched a couple Tennessee games last year and that was just the feeling I got from watching him. Given, when they had Tyler Bray, Patterson and Hunter they aired out the ball and he was better than Tiny Richardson in pass protection. Maybe I'm looking into it too much, but I just didn't see the mauler show up with James that you'd like at RT in the NFL for running the ball, that paired with the fact he was actually pretty solid in pass protection would make him a better LT than RT.

I think we will trust the opinion and decision of those that do this for a living over say......YOU.

I don't care if you trust me or not. Be true to your opinions. It doesn't make you a bad fan if you disagree with the FO some times.

I would not be disappointed with him at #28 because everything I've read about him says he is a complete package and a safe pick. It wouldn't be a flashy pick because he isn't getting much hype from the media but if you research him you'll see that he is a great player.

I was talking about him at LT.

If he were 1st round material I wouldn't need to go through all this hoopla. I would have heard of him before. So, I will not be doing what you asked of me. lmao

Anyone who has been following the draft (not saying that you have) knows of Ja'Wuan James.  He began this process as a round 2 or 3 grade, but due to his consistency, durability and potential it wouldn't shock me if he was talked about as a late first round, early second round talent.  I was first hipped to him in January and have been following the guy ever since.  He can probably start right off as a right tackle, but he may be able to play left tackle proficiently as well according to scouts.  He is not a dummy either, which is always nice.

BTW, to put things into perspective, he was probably known more than Billy Turner or Dakota Dozier who have been mentioned in reference to the Panthers (on the Huddle) as well.
