Panthers S Charles Godfrey had his contract reworked, per source: base salary goes from $5M to $750k. He can earn $1.7M back in per game ...

 

... roster bonuses. Deal creates over $4M in cap space for Panthers right now. Sensible move for team in need of cap flexibility.

I'd like to see what this means in the future.. And more importantly, what qualifies him earning that 1.7mil per game...

That's how much he can earn back total, per game would be insane.

      At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
