Can someone tell me why he wore #2, #10, and #48 all in the same highlight video I watched? Did he just change his number each year or what? I don't know anything about him.

Who says we are? Seferian-Jenkins, Enunwa, Moncrief, Lyerla, Richardson, Washington, Coleman, Landry, etc will all still be there at 60.

So let me get this straight, because Shazier is 23/24 his ceiling is lower? Wow, I guess Star and Short fudged then. They'll never be to be studs now. What was G-Man thinking? :o

Do I really have to go back within the last two years and just select names that weren't invited to prestigious awad cermonies and dinners? Your logic here is absurdly low.

Shazier is 21 with still room to grow. And I'm not going to deny he had some nice games/plays last year but a majority of them were in one sided games against bad B10 teams. I'm sure his pass coverage skills were really displayed well when the Hoosiers had to start chucking the ball every play after the 1Q. Especially when he is basically free to do as he pleased with the entire Ohio State defense being compiled of prized recruits and potential NFL players. 

 

And the Luke comparison to him is not a good one.

We do have seven picks, as well as other options down the road.  Taking BPA may not be popular at the time but most often a year or two down the road you find yourself saying "yeah, that was the right call".

Again, he didn't play anybody and was basically the centerpiece of a d consisting of very highly touted college recruits and potential NFL players. Maybe our NFL coach of the year can convert him to a WR since he's so fast.

Shazier was the only returning starter in Ohio State's front 7 last year. The only other players they had make First Team All-Big Ten on defense was CB Roby (coaches and media) and DL Noah Spence (media only)

I just don't feel that adding a pass rushing, speed LB that is only going to play half of the defensive snaps (at most) is going to help us out next year. Sure, maybe Shazier will have a good season if we draft him but I got a feeling it will be during a season we won't make the playoffs. You'd think us Panthers fans would have learned from the RB situation we're in. 3 good RBs yet the QB is still the leading rusher lol.

Yeah, it all depends on who falls where, no one is saying draft Shazier and not an OT.  But if he's heads and shoulders the BPA at 28 then it would be dumb not to take him.  It's not an immediate WOW pick but I think it could pay off in the long run.

Kewl. The team was still stockpiled with potential NFL players and prized recruits. Check the recruiting job out Urban is doing in Columbus. 

 

And that still doesn't change the fact that they didn't play anybody until the last 2 games of the year and look how those turned out.

We can't use the RB comparison though because LB's are all on the field at the same time.

If they draft him, I'll be sure to remind you I said this was a bad pick when Byron Bell gives us 4 sacks on opening day. Or we have 180 yards passing.
