Fall of the QBs -Trading Down

Recommended Posts

As someone has already mentioned, good QB's dropping might mean that NE and Denver think about replacements for their franchise guys.  Might not get another opportunity to draft a Bridgewater or the like, so getting in front of NE might be the ticket.

Houston might want to trade up or Jax or Minny depending on what happens in the top 10

I'd accept it only if it's a top 5 team. I would take their 2nd round pick and next year's 1st round pick. Chances are at least 3 or 4 of those teams will be picking top 5 again next year.

I think we gave up our first next year, our second and a forth when we moved up to get Otah.

I would take their 2015 1st, take their 2nd and their 3rd.

It would be a nice addition to get an early third as well.

First round picks now have a ton of value. That 5th year option is big and if you hit a good QB then it is a life saver. Just look at what happened with Cam. I expect at least 1 team to move into the late first round pick to get a QB.

I've also heard that if certain QB's fall to pick #31or #29, Denver or New England, either are rumored to possibly take one in the 1st to start grooming for the future exit of Manning or Brady. Could just be a smokescreen but the possibility might be enough for one of the early 2nd round teams to want to get in front of New England. Good for us and I would do it without hesitation. The talent level aavailable at 28 should still be there at 33 - 38 if need be.

Didnt New England draft that kid from Arkansas that was going to learn from Brady? What happened to him?
