Probably a reaction to all those who said "I'll quit being a fan if we don't draft WR".

History of "can't miss" WR is not too good, so bpa strategy means a possibly "unpopular" pick might be very realistic.

I understand that but I don't see Ealy as 1st round talent at all. I'd be shocked if he was the BPA at 28. I just don't see a scenario where he is.

You can say that about Qb, RB, MLb, and TE.

The difference is other positions are the biggest need now.

You can't go into a season worried about your strongest position with the most depth becoming your weakest position thru mishaps.

 

In the draft, you are not going into a season, you are going into 4 seasons, perhaps 5. Please consider contracts, rookie performance, and the cap into your thinking before giving advice.   If you look at the draft to upgrade immediate needs, you are going to lose.
