Not really a huge deal imo. I guess if you want to talk about football literally all year it's a bigger issue, but there's plenty of non football sports going on right now. NBA/Hockey playoffs, MLB, etc.

Honestly, two weeks seems like a miniscule amount of time to wait compared to the offseason as a whole.

Well, actually the NBA's first round has been great. I watched all the game 6s and game 7s so far.  Seriously, this may not have happened if the draft had been at it's regular time because I'm such an NFL guy. So, in that sense, Roger Goodell's fiddling may cause him more a lull in his precious ratings.  Don't get me wrong, I will most definitely watch the NFL draft first and foremost Thursday night, but I can definitely see myself skipping vast amounts of day 2 (if not all), and all of day 3 (and a proposed day 4) in favor of watching the NBA playoffs, which I honestly never watched in earnest until the conference finals.

I even caught pieces of the Bobcats' games.

Next year when I am looking at the NBA playoffs from the start of round 1 in lieu of endless speculation and Pokemon mocks on NFLN (or nfl.com), Goodell can thank himself.  Seriously, I just may decide to boycott everything except the Huddle around the first week of April and concentrate on the NBA. The games have been great this playoffs.

I get your point. From my perspective, I love the NFL Draft, so any amount of extra waiting I have to do is enough to make me upset. For some others, however, I can see why it's not a big deal. So, I guess it's just preference, really.

So glad we didn't get jar jar

He went to the right team.

Vader should have gone to the Rams though (maybe Jeff Fisher didn't think he was evil enough).

how the hell are we going to pass on Jek Porkins

He shouldn't have made it past the Saints.

and on May the 4th....how dare they.

I didn't know what this meant, but i am watching the Talladega NASCAR race and they just showed a Star Wars logo and said today is Star Wars Day. looking it up, May 4 was chosen as Star Wars Day due to its sounding similar to the phrase "May the Force be with you" in which fans commonly say "May the fourth be with you" (the NASCAR announcer just said "May the fourth be with you" in the middle of the big race on national tv even)

I wish a Star Wars fan had done the draft. The Jedi Masters would all be the first ones taken. How do you beat a Jedi Master? They can stop the ball in it's track, nullifying any forward pass the other team attempts. And they can blast any opponent to the ground just using the force. And, they can use their Jedi mind tricks to trick the other team into doing what they want them to do: "you want to run the ball back into your own endzone" -waves hand- "I want to run the ball back into my own endzone," etc. Jedi Masters are unstoppable. Chewy at #1? Jesus
