quarter life crisis?

They should both contain MDMA. X pretty much refers to a pill (that contains lord knows what). Molly is usually a powder (that contains lord knows what). There's so many research chemicals out there that haven't been studied. Party at your own risk.

I'm too scared to try anything. Except that accidental dose of heroin I got from this chicks breast milk. That was awful

I hear ya. I don't mess with that poo. Outside of drinking quality craft beers, I've learned to really enjoy a clear head.

Back to the OP. That's about the age when most people realize the life your parents promised, probably isn't going to happen. It usually comes with a major life change. Whether you finish school, get a new job, or have to move, it's called stress. When you are younger, stress is just another word used by your parents, kind of like migraines and sore joints. Stress can cause a lot of very real, physical side effects. And then the anxiety and panic kick in. Being new to this whole stress thing, you might feel like something is wrong with you and or you are going nuts. This happened to me at about 23, when I got out of the military and moved back to nc. I had to learn that millions go through something similar everyday.

I'm with phillyb. Start going to a community college, make new friends, and be active. This gives you a reason to be productive and less time to think. The last thing you need is too much time on your hands, over-thinking about how life sucks. Good luck!

I agree with the statement above.

Take some courses at the local community college that might interest you.  These could be academic courses or trade courses.  By trying a few different courses, you may find the right thing for you.

I'll try to make a long story short, I turned 20 yesterday. normally I spend my birthdays having a big celebration or partying. All I could do yesterday was think about how fast the last 5-6 years of my life flew by. I feel like one day I'm just a stupid kid enjoying life and I wake up one day and I'm a 20 year old that needs to get a job, and go to school. I've literally wasted the last 3-4 years of my life. I've owned a car for 2 years but out of pure laziness I've delayed getting my drivers license. despite having jobs literally offered to me I've turned them down. I could go on for days.. Right before I turned 18 I was having an extremely rough time in life and once that passed I decided to take a few months just doing whatever I wanted. It was a terrible idea, I enjoyed relaxing and doing whatever I pleased so much it has put me in a rut for two years. I'm in a dead relationship that pretty much mirrors the rut I've been in.

So here I am at 3:30 am freaking the fug out wondering how I can get my life started.. I'm seriously thinking about packing my bags and just starting new somewhere. I need to make a change in life somehow...

Advice?

So you've wasted the last few years, you're still young, you aren't far behind, turn it around and go do something with yourself. Don't waste another 3-4. If you're not careful you will.

Don't just sit around, do stuff. Learn a lot and join some kind of league that is physical, like b-ball, soccer or tennis. try something new.

you gotta gather up what you need,
you gotta choose a direction,
and when the moment is right for you, you got to go.
You gotta keep your ideals high,
you gotta know that the sky belongs to no-one, you got to go.

I had my crisis when I started my first office job. We had a big all-hands meeting, and I saw the other office employees. 40-55-year-olds, dead-eyed, still working in a cubicle. Oceans of depression covered in paunchy, grey-hued flesh. And I knew I would never allow myself to become that.

And here's what I've learned in my short time in the work force. It's so much fugging easier to be ahead of the curve NOW. At your age. In your early 20s. Now is the time that's going to determine the trajectory of the rest of your life. You know why? Because when you see a 20-25 year old busting his or her ass and just killing it every day, people notice that. Important people. The kind of people who have money and determine how much of it you get. If you bust your ass now, you'll be in line for your first promotion when you're in your mid-20s, and your first BIG promotion before you're 30 ("fug you money").

But you know what happens when you start really rocking when you're in your 30s? No one gives a poo! You're just doing your job at that point. "You won a contract? Good for you. See you tomorrow." "Oh you fixed that bug? Well that's what I expect of you." "You sent every invoice on time this quarter? Great. I'll make a note of it on your annual review."

That's how you end up in a cubicle for life. Just kind of do what's expected. Get a moderate promotion every decade or so, and a cost of living increase.

It's not too late at all! You are young. Keep telling yourself that. You are young. That's how everyone sees you. They have expectations for you and how you should be acting at 20 years old. So you can either be the young guy everyone expects a young guy to be, or you can get out ahead of the crowd. Bust your ass now, and you're setting yourself up for a career set on cruise control for the rest of your life.

Chicks do like it when you can pick them up. Then again you're in the south. Better use two arms and take this back brace
