quarter life crisis?

I also feel I should point out that you can prepare for school with iTunes U. While not getting credit I've watched the lectures on several graduate level math classes. When it came to quizzes and exams I just emailed the professor explaining what I was doing and they sent back their course materials. I've only met one college professor who didn't want someone to succeed and he taught at a law school.

doing the community college thing can open other doors for you as well; besides the obvious functional aspects of letting you contribute towards your degree, you're going to meet a ton of people, which will expand your ability to network, which will help you do things like land jobs and get out of doldrums and other funks that can be easy to fall into.

Don't let the idea of a trade deter you either. If you're willing to work hard and go wherever you can make 100k+ as a truck driver, plumber, welder, etc. Because when the economy tanks people with trades keep working. That's the sole reason I keep my CDL. If the price of oil drops below $70/bbl I'm out of a job but I can still gear jam. Everyone is always looking for a good tradesman.

It is true.

Finding half decent people to service your house in anyway can be a huge pain. We wasted a few grand on tile and it is a poo job even after having them come out and fix it.

Landscaping has been a joke.

But we have a great tree guy who I would pay pretty much anything.

There is so much word of mouth that if you can find a decent professional they will have more work than they can handle quickly.

The trades are, and have been making a huge comeback.

AC, electricians, plumbers, framers....finding good ones is pretty hard these days.  And the good ones, make bank.

Mike Rowe pushes trades a lot and he is very right. I'm partial to the oil and gas industry but two years at any trade school you might start the same pay working in a warehouse but the more experience the higher salary you'll get later on.

I'll try to make a long story short, I turned 20 yesterday. normally I spend my birthdays having a big celebration or partying. All I could do yesterday was think about how fast the last 5-6 years of my life flew by. I feel like one day I'm just a stupid kid enjoying life and I wake up one day and I'm a 20 year old that needs to get a job, and go to school. I've literally wasted the last 3-4 years of my life. I've owned a car for 2 years but out of pure laziness I've delayed getting my drivers license. despite having jobs literally offered to me I've turned them down. I could go on for days.. Right before I turned 18 I was having an extremely rough time in life and once that passed I decided to take a few months just doing whatever I wanted. It was a terrible idea, I enjoyed relaxing and doing whatever I pleased so much it has put me in a rut for two years. I'm in a dead relationship that pretty much mirrors the rut I've been in.

So here I am at 3:30 am freaking the fug out wondering how I can get my life started.. I'm seriously thinking about packing my bags and just starting new somewhere. I need to make a change in life somehow...

Advice?

 u wot m8?

In all seriousness though I feel your pain. I pretty much did the same thing when I was 18; life sucked so I decided to kick back and do whatever the hell I wanted. 3 years later, it's biting me in the ass in terms of my work ethic. I'm 21 and while I'm in college and doing fairly well academically something doesn't feel right. I think both you and I are scared of the painful reality of growing up. This whole graduating and becoming self-sufficient thing scares the hell out of me.

Like others have mentioned, starting out by taking classes at a community college would be a great way to get off your ass. Find something you're passionate about and turn that into a potential career. For me, I'm passionate about railroading, which inspired me to pursue a degree in logistics/supply chain management. That's really what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Go get your driver's license though. That's really not that hard.

You can still find it? I thought everyone moved on to Mollie.

They should both contain MDMA. X pretty much refers to a pill (that contains lord knows what). Molly is usually a powder (that contains lord knows what). There's so many research chemicals out there that haven't been studied. Party at your own risk.
