Panthers making last minute trip to see Allen Robinson.

Based on what Gettleman has said, the staff has spent the last few days getting the cocaches' opinions on players, and whether they fit. My guess is that they called Robinson in because there was some debate as to how well he'll work in our offence, so they decided to work him out.

what are these character issues with Robinson, because i never heard of them for him. i did see he was suspended for a half in the 1st game, but that was all. everything else i have heard was he is a great person on and off the field.

teams dont suspend a guy, even for half a game, for nothing. that being said... youre right. it was only half a game. it cant have been too serious. truthfully, i am more interested in what separates Robinson from other prospects. compared to the other options that could/should be available in the 1st and 2nd, Robinson doesnt impress me

Robinson is still super young. I don't think he'll make a huge impact immediately, but Gman has said that about WR's. I think after a season or two this kid will be a good one. He has all the tools.

With his size, I do think he could come in and be an impact in the red zone.

he could have suspended for being late to a meeting. that is not a big issue, compared to getting arrested and consistent issues with the coaches. honestly BOB could have been making a point for the rest of the squad by benching his best player.

To be honest, I don't see how Robinson doesn't impress you.  I can see how you might like other guys more as a personal preference, but looking at him in a vacuum, Robinson is quite impressive, IMO.  He has great size, good speed, is quick and very shifty -- especially for such a big guy, he has great vision once he gets the ball in his hands (which contributes to his exceptional RAC), he has great hands, has an amazing vertical and high points the ball with the best of them, he also has very good body control and adjust to the ball.

To be honest, I don't see a major flaw in his game.  He has everything you look for in a WR, and his RAC is elite.  He is also reportedly a good kid who would have stayed at PSU if O' Brien had stayed.  I really don't understand why he isn't talked about more...especially when the biggest flaw that is mentioned is long speed, which isn't bad.  I just think he isn't very flashy, and that's what the analysts like to talk about.
