Panthers making last minute trip to see Allen Robinson.

Would love Robinson.

Just like Matthews, this board is 50/50 about how they feel about him.

I like him because he can high point the ball, awesome body control, he's a threat with the ball in his hands. He loves to find that cutback lane when running and has good field vision.

How would you feel about Latimer

I'm mixed.

I know he has it all there. He's a good route runner, great body control, hands and concentration, strong and physical and a hell of a blocker. Fast enough to get behind blockers.

I want him in the first but I don't know if he'd count as a "reach" because he just kind of shot up out of nowhere, but for good reason though. He has all the tools Keenan Allen does and yousaw what he did his rookie season.

My thing is why would they settle for a guy who they dont think will be a top receiver in the league one day? In a deep WR class at that, the panthers have nobody that resembles a number 1 receiver or arguably even a number 2. I dont see that in Laundry and i like Matthews but he may have peaked in college. People say wait to the second round like we will be picking soon as it starts, we dont pick till the END of the second round, and i think your just gambling then hoping that someone will drop. I just dont see how we can afford to do that, and as long as we are a good team it is gonna be like this every draft, we are always gonna miss out on the Megatrons and Julio Jones. Might as well take someone in a deep class where there is a lot more potential than the usual.

Dude was an original late 1st rounder and I don't see anything that he has done since that has lowered his stock.  Other guys like OBJ, Latimer, Cooks, etc. have flashed big time combines and pro-days that have overtaken Robinson.  Robinson has a very high floor and lower ceiling than others, so the trend is to lean towards more upside.  The kid is talented and has WR1 written all over him.  I don't think he's a reach at 28, though I'm probably in the minority.

Maybe word is out that we won't have a shot at "our guy", Cody Latimer and we want a similar bodied WR1?  How about GMan might have a potential move-down partner to dance with?  Maybe we're doing our due diligence if we slide down a few slots into the 2nd.  There's also that late addition invite to Marcus Martin out of USC which means he could have a suitor late 1st.  Regardless, if we go Robinson at 28, I won't be the least bit disappointed.

This. I think the eagles might be the team that bites on Latimer from rumors I have seen the last few days. I thought it was Cooks but I hear they want a big guy instead.

Yeah, I read that too recently and really thought they would want to replace DJax with a similar Cooks.  Apparantly, Kelly wants more big bodied WRs in his offense, so maybe the DJax theme was more Andy Reid.  I really feel like if Latimer is there at 28, we take him, but that is becoming more and more doubtful with Philly, KC, SD and NO having a need at WR.  Can you imagine Latimer catching darts from Drew Brees for the next few years and seeing the guy that we wanted on the opposite sideline twice a year?
