He was in Rivera's doghouse already. They find a decent DE in the draft he could conceivably be out the door.

Or because he was never really a marquee player in this class to begin with and the only story was ZOMG he's gay which only sold papers and generated clicks for a couple of days. Fact is most (not all) people could give a poo less if the best player on their team was a flaming homosexual as long as they made plays on Sunday. Sam isn't likely to do that so people could care less about reading articles on him outside of those couple of days. Has nothing really to do with his combine, just that he wasn't that great of an NFL prospect to begin with. Now if Clowney was gay it would still be a story, and any team that passed on him for that reason would be incredibly stupid....

I'm not sure of the suspension rule. Does this mean he is a repeat offender? Von Miller was suspended for what, 6 games? Any coincidence this was released a week before the draft?

Yes better before him as in rounds 1-4, but DE isn't a supreme need.

The kid can rush the passer, that's all he needs to be able to do. 11.5 sacks last year proves that he can.

I don't see what the problem is here, it's like most people on this board didn't watch Mizzou even play last year.

 

He's an awful fit for our scheme. We  are not drafting a tweener.
