Even if we can't get Hardy long term, grabbing a DE in the 1st would be asinine with the needs and what should be available then. We ain't got nam WR's. Kinda got T's. You obviously don't get how Gettleman does things. If Ealy is a higher value on his board than say....Robinson or Latimer, Ealy will be the pick. Simple as that. Best player available, and Blue Goose to Dave if we take him.

Or because he was never really a marquee player in this class to begin with and the only story was ZOMG he's gay which only sold papers and generated clicks for a couple of days. Fact is most (not all) people could give a poo less if the best player on their team was a flaming homosexual as long as they made plays on Sunday. Sam isn't likely to do that so people could care less about reading articles on him outside of those couple of days. Has nothing really to do with his combine, just that he wasn't that great of an NFL prospect to begin with. Now if Clowney was gay it would still be a story, and any team that passed on him for that reason would be incredibly stupid....
