D. Newton picks Ealy based on Kiper & McShay's latest mock, & G-man's thinking.

In my head, the first 4 picks will involve one player in the secondary, 1 maybe 2 on the OL, and 1 or 2 WRs.

That said, if a better player is falling at a position like DE, I wouldn't hate it. May not like it at first, but it could help for the future.

I'd be okay with Ealy. In fact, a few weeks ago I mocked him getting drafted here. I think, after watching some more, Lawrence may be a better player long term, but I wouldn't mind Ealy.

It would also mean CJ and Hardy both better prove why they should be here next year.

I watched that last night (yes I have a problem), couldn't believe the run on WR.  Beside Ealy, Roby the CB from Ohio State was still on board, I figured that would be pick before the Adams choice.  In that situation I would take Roby over Ealy, first round talent (per most reviews I've seen) and fits need

I get that Gettleman said she he is not going to reach but a secord round talent in the media eyes may not be a second round talent to Gettleman.

While your post is true Gettlemen vales DE, LB, DT, QB, and offensive line. The rest will fall where it may. It's the same way you manage a business, you have to do an analysis on positions and strategize based on monetary value. Fact is that unless your a tip top WR like Megatron, there's not much separating a second rounder from a 4th.
