Let's see which armchair GM's admit being wrong.

I thought Eric Shelton was going to be the second coming of "the Bus".....

I also remember thinking superbowl when we signed DJ Hacket...

But I really did think Hardy would be a 6th round steal...Dude was big in the SEC

Oh man Dj Hackett what a tease that was.

i'm not a huge follower of college football but i remembered a few people saying that hardy in the 6th round was the steal of that draft

I'm pretty positive about our picks since no one really knows how they'll workout.

I thought Eric Shelton was going to be the next Jerome Bettis.

I didn't like the Stewart pick because I loved D-lo.

Kawann Short, I knew he was a solid player and wasn't exactly mad about the pick, I just really wanted Keenan Allen.

I had Vacarro  and Short in my mock so when Star unexpectedly fell into our laps I was with you, after the whole Prohilific park tweets and Rivera there too, it seemed like a no-brainer pick. I was like "WOW" when MInter called out KK's name. Then when I saw Barners name scroll along on the ticker day 3 I was euphoric for days, Star, Short and Barner. hell, I even rated Klien, thought we might even grab Arthur Brown earlier. I wanted Swope or Khaseem Green for the Kugbila pick. Turns out Swope had to retire, I hope Kug really shows something this year and Gman gets some redemption for that pick.

I still remember the day we passed on Kevin Dyson for Jason Peters and I almost lost it - and then of course Randy Moss's talent shreds his ego and ends up being a steal for Minny.

Other than that, pretty much all that has been brought up.

Won't lie, absolutely hated picking Cam (1 year experience and not a very pro-friendly system) and thought he'd be one of the biggest busts ever. Also didn't particularly enjoy picking D-Will when we did (some could argue he's underperformed but IMO there's been other factors holding him back).

Loved getting Jarret, thought he'd be dominant, still sour over how little he did for us.

    • If we are going to spend the money anyway, maybe the signing is not as bad as it seems.  Mays outperformed Corbett (before his injury and if you go back to last year, Corbett has been below average) and then Christensen took the job and Mays quickly took it from him and never looked back.  He could use improvement reaching to the next level (LBs) but picking up stunts and blitzes---he was surprisingly good.  Run blocking needs some work, but he is 25.  Corbett, in my view, should be G/C depth and if Mays steps back, he is there.  Mays should start because this team is building for the future and 30 year old players are not building blocks.  We shall see.  That is how I think about it, but there are many factors we do not know. Having said that, I like what Zavala is doing, and I do not want to bring in someone who would take opportunities away from him.  Zavala was really good at RG down the stretch, and in limited duty, was awesome. In fact, we have a guard from the PS who played briefly and did well, but he only played a few plays.  He is 25 and I recall that fans of his former team were upset when we signed him.   Maybe as the backup center only (Corbett).  You need 2 centers to run practices efficiently.  I cannot say enough about the OL coaches on this staff.  What they have done is overshadowed by the Lewis / Hunt signing.  Mays, Ekwonu, Zavala--impressive growth.
