Verret's only private work out was with, guess who?

Verrett is a 1st round talent and many seems to agree.

He might be, but nickel corners rarely go in the 1st. If he's listed as 5'9" that means he is probably really 5'7". That is very short for a guy.

Well that's what they're solely going to be using him as.

Too bad for us they actually have cap space. It was a huge need for the Vikings and a big reason their defense sucked so hard last year.

Its also the reason the viking have not been relevant since the 90s.

Those type of rumors come out every year close to draft day. I'd take them with a huge grain of salt. Teams want good players to fall.

I'd be shocked if Gilbert isn't at least the second CB off the board.

I didnt say he wouldn't be drafted high. I still think that he's the 1st or at least the 2nd corner off the board due to combine + return ability. But, I do not believe that he's the top 3 best. However, I would love to have him on this team.

I really believe that was a lineman reference.

The quote came during a time when talking about Seattle's mold of building a team, including large cornerbacks.

mathieu lines up in the slot at times, no? grimes had two or three pretty good seasons in atlanta before getting hurt and continuing to be pretty good in miami.

wouldnt it be more relevant to name current short corners who succeed in this pass driven league? than darrell green... a guy who retired before the ty law rule when it was easier.

If "relevance" means aspiring to be like average at best CBs then no I'd rather myself mention someone who was elite at the position or the slew of other short talented CBs who have also been (as I initially mentioned but you were too tunnel visioned or willfully ignorant to pick up on)

If Verrett aspires to be average like Grimes or less than average like Munnerlyn, then keep him away at any cost.

grimes and captain arent average or less than average lmfao. grimes didnt even allow a TD last season according to PFF. just got rewarded with a 4/32 deal. i think captain only allowed one or two... which means he scored as much as he allowed. rofl.

Willfully ignorant it is then. As also previously mentioned, I'm looking at what constitutes their entire body of world. If you'd like to compare that to some oft he all time greats then by all means.

rofl lmao lol hurr durr

i just dont particularly see the issue with him using current corners who are among the best in the league rather than a smaller guy from back in the day. verrett probably never even watched green and/or knew how tall he was because he's too young. green retired when the guy was in elementary school.

i mean if you're a 5'9 wideout are you gonna name wes welker, steve smith, etc or are you going to go back and try to name guys from the 80s and 90s who you never watched... seriously who gives a poo

and you're still wrong about those short corners being average so yes, rofl lmao lol hurr durr at you.
