Verret's only private work out was with, guess who?

Height for a corner can be used against him if his ball skills are lacking. Captain didnt seem to have that high of a vertical and he isn't that fast. Revis is only 2 inches taller and a lot of good corners are around 5 10 5 11 if the kid can play like a tim jennings I'd take him at 28

His ball skills aren't lacking at all. He intercepted 2 passes and I believe was one of the leading defenders with 15 passes defensed. He had 6-7 interceptions in 2012 as well. His ball skills are above average for sure.

So many great short CBs throughout NFL history and he picks 3 duds.

brent grimes is a top 10, maybe top 5 corner. honey badger was really good before he got hurt. captain is great in the slot and makes plays (has like four or five pick sixes? and was a good blitzer).

If you're talking about verret I know hes a good prospect and I wouldn't mind taking him at 28 if no other logical choice remained for offense. I was really pointing out captains deficiencies as well as kind of explaining that what short corners lack in height they usually make up for it by having elite speed, ball skills, and jumping ability

Literally, all offensive options would need to be gone and no one would be willing to trade, then might be ok.  As it stands, with the team we have, we possess a top 5 defense, and bottom 5 offense.  I have no doubt we will.  Last year we focused on Defense, this year, I have no doubt, we'll focus on offense.

Not a fan of short CB when the league is going to the bigger CB thing.

That's sounds like a Hurney move. Putting more money and assets in the RB'S positions. When the league was going in a different direction.
