If we don't, someone will. Verrett is a first round pick and first round talent according to every legit analyst right now.

And who's to say he can't play outside and be a stud in doing so?

I would like Verret in the 2nd but he is very injury prone. Has had surgeries after each of his last 3 seasons. I wouldn't want to gamble a first on that. Give me sua'filo in the first , Cyrus in the 2nd and billy turner in the 3rd with a receiver in the 4th. We let turner learn this year and say goodbye to bell next year.

@BlackBlueReview

“All 6 1st-round wideouts could be gone before 28. All 5 tackles could be gone by 28.” - Mike Mayock, just now, on conference call

#Panthers

Bring forth the short CB

I know I don't say it often because too many morons suggest it every year regardless of the context, but if we find ourselves in that predicament I'd rather we just trade down.

If Ebron's still there somehow he'd automatically be my pick.

Verrett is a rare talent. He is extremely fast with upper echelon quickness and he has proven his worth against very good receivers. Although he has had surgeries after every season, it's notable that the injuries themselves usually don't keep him from playing and playing well (he missed one game last year, and played through a torn meniscus in the last 3 games of 2012). He seems like a very smart, good kid. I would not be surprised if he is the target in round 1. We arguably lost to San Francisco because we couldn't stop Crabtree (in addition to needing weapons and protection for Cam).

I'd say his floor is Captain but his ceiling is a Revis type (blanket coverage) with less ball skills.
