We had a monster d with Melvin white and Dayton Florence as our outside DBs. The front seven makes it easy for lesser than awesome CBs to flourish in our system. We got Cason and white should keep developing nicely.

Agreed. We have a TON of big strong receivers in our division. I want a big, strong corner to go against them. I'm sure Verrett will be a great nickel but we found a great nickel in the 7th round a few drafts ago. IMO there's no way Verrett goes in the first unless it's to a team where Nickel is their only need.

Personally if all of the possible LTs are gone and all of the big time WRs are gone we need to just go BPA within reason. Personally I think people could be overlooking Allen Robinson and Cody Lattimer as first round talents. The same could be said for KB. I heard Widle say yesterday he thinks KB is headed for a drop.

For a position that doesn't directly score points or protect Cam Newton I'm against CB round 1. Melvin White and Cason should be good enough. Norman has talent despite what a lot of people say.

Agreed...also good corners are similar good offensive guards, centers, safeties. You can find future starters in the middle rounds.

I think he is the best CB in the draft and if Verrett was 2 inches taller, he'd be considered the #1 corner in this draft imho.

A month ago Latimer was a 3rd-4th rounder.

I'm not saying they wouldn't do it, but it would be a bitter pill to swallow if they actually did.

The dropoff in skill from Verrett to Fuller is not even close to being worth the loss of 3 inches in height.
