Panthers director of college scouting Don Gregory believes "capable" starting receivers can be as found as late as the fourth round

I agree that we need a first or second round playmaker, but if we can get Ebron or ASJ, I'm OK with waiting another round or two for a WR. Having the worst WR corps in the league would be tremendously offset by having the best TE corps. One more week, one more week!

On paper right now our oline is a laughing stock. We are hoping to find guys that can play tackle from a group of undrafted players. How you can have a franchise QB yet neglect the oline just doesn't make sense to me. It's cliche to say but it doesn't matter who the WRs are if Cam is getting blasted in the face by a DE.

This has been my thinking all along.  Of course you have to have decent receivers to get open, but damn... if Cam is running for his life on every single play, we won't get far and he's gonna get hurt.  That's just stupid.

If there is a potential #1 WR there at 28 you take him.

I am cool with a TE, WR, or OL a D pick will annoy me.

Verrett, Fuller, Dennard, Clinton-Dix, Pryor would not annoy me. Any other D pick would.

BPA

You guys keep assuming the first pick is gonna be an OT or WR but it could easily be a DE, OLB or DB. Outside Lewan, Matthews and Robinson, no other OT is worth a first round grade. As for WRs, it depends on who falls to us.

Yea sure BPA. We will draft a QB, DT, MLB at 28 if it's BPA

Keenan Allen is a painful reminder that you don't trade future picks with regularity, hurney.

As good as our draft was last year, imagine adding Keenan Allen as our third round pick if we didn't trade it away. Or even Terrance Williams, the guy that got selected with the pick we traded away.

That would be, what? 4 eventual starters drafted? Even the 3 we've ended up with are better than the 1 average hurney got us for those years.
