Even if he's the best guard in the NFL immediately, would you trade a first round draft pick for the best guard in the NFL? I know I wouldn't.

The name Su'a is uncomfortably similar to Fua.

Like DT, guard is becoming more of a recognized value position in the league, and in spite of the slight financial difference between first and second round picks, there really isn't much difference between a first round 28 pick and a first overall second round pick.  And I mean theoretically as others have said, guard is indeed a need to a degree, and I'd be okay with it.  I hate the idea of Bell at LT considering that I don't think he's a starting RT in this league, but we don't really have too many options here to fix that this year.

Good question. Xavier was quoted as saying that Star was the most challenging defensive lineman he ever had to face though.

Now with Oline all being tagged as the same no matter OG, OT, or Center. So now keeping a guard could cost as much as a LT. No thank you.

You can't put top money or top assets in every positions.

There is a value scale and for to long already we have valued the wrong positions.
