28th isn't basically 2nd round.  32nd isn't basically 2nd round.  33rd isn't basically 1st round.  They are in the round they are in.  At 33rd you're (typically) having your second shot to pick who you want, meaning you can be safe with the first and gamble with the second.  At 28th there aren't teams that have had two shots to pick (without it costing some other team theirs) ahead of you.  28th is more important than just 5 spots over 33.  It's the first round.  First chance by almost everyone.  No pick, from #32, 33 or comp picks are "basically" anything other than what they are.  Picks in the respective rounds.

thats a lie. players are drafted at 28 are bust and there are players drafted at 34 that are better that players taken in the first round. when your picking in the bottome rounds 5 spots really dont seperate to much talent which is why smart teams usuallly trade back to add picks.

Nothing I typed has anything to do with busts or success rate. What I was talking about isnt separation of level of talent, it's about strategic importance of draft spots.
