Yep.  This is the guy.  He helps out the entire left side of the line (or really anywhere on the line) and will be a foundation alongside Kalil for years to come.  Rivera supposedly flew to Reno to meet with him personally.  Multiple visits from the team, first round consideration. The other plus...+board freaks out.  I think he's an NFL LT.  He's also fully capable at RT and G.  Loved that he protected Kaepernick's blindside early on and played like a stud against FSU last season.

Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt 6'3 205

 

I’d love to see Matthews in a Panthers uniform.  Given the amount of talent, it’s totally possible he’s available right here.  Take him and you get an instant starter ahead of Cotchery.

Pierre Desir CB Lindenwood 6'1 198

 

A strong corner that's projected in the 3rd round.  Good size, good reports, why not.

Kevin Norwood WR Alabama 6'2 194

 

A reliable, sure-handed catcher who would be a good 2nd grab at WR.

Looking for solid depth on the back end of the draft and he’d be a great add.

Oregon's DeAnthony Thomas may have garnered most of the attention over the past three years as the nation's most mesmerizing combination of speed and agility, but Archer - the first KSU player to earn a spot on the Walter Camp All-American team -- wasn't far behind.

Like Thomas, Archer spent most of his career at running back with the Golden Arches but scouts are split as to where he'll wind up in the NFL. He was invited to the Combine as a running back but given his slight frame and soft hands, it isn't difficult to imagine him ultimately making the conversion to slot receiver, a position he played with increasing frequency as his record-breaking career at Kent State came to a close.

It is but our history is so insanely bad post-CJ in round-3, might as well take a stab with the most explosive player on the board haha.  I'd be cool with Abbrederis or Richardson as well but I think our offense & ST could benefit more from Archer.

True, it has been awful lol, vereen pick is great too. Seems like the type of hybrid nickel Rivera loves in this defense

Definitely.  I really like Vereen and think he fits into our defense about as good as it gets.    

 

A lot of early to mid-round DBs in this draft fit our scheme very well imo: Fuller, Bailey, Cockrell, Vereen, Desir to name a handful.  Also, that LJ Jones who we met with looks like an interesting prospect.  

 

I was trying to fit an OLB/DE somewhere in here as well (was thinking Adrian Hubbard with the Archer pick) but decided to stay on offense.  Had Grimble where Britt was but think OL depth is wayy more valuable plus we signed DC late last season similar to King and McNutt.

Really like it. If Matthews there in the second I'd almost guarantee he's the pick that Gettleman and Rivera make. I love Brock Vereen, I think he could be a star in the NFL due to the fact that he can play almost any position in the backfield (he reminds me a lot of Malcolm Jenkins).

If your 2nd mock happens that would be freaking awesome. But I like this one too. I don't know much about him though. As long as we get a wr in one of the first two rounds( JM would be great in round 2) and a OT in the other I'll be happy

I can live with Bitonio at 28, I think. Love Matthews in the 2nd, but after that I hate it.

Rather go DeAnthony Thomas over Archer.
