Who is the hardest hitter on the Panther defense?

Mr. Scot

Thomas Davis explodes at the point of the tackle all over the opposition.  No one on the team hits like he does.  To be honest, he may be the hardest hitter in team history on a consistent basis.  The only other guy that may have hit harder was Dan Morgan.

Chris Harris?

That was actually the first name I was expecting to see in responses.

Surprised it took this long...

Because he is not really a big hitter.  I'm sure he can but he is more a sure tackle guy.  Thomas Davis hit's the guy plus anyone behind him type of guy.

He definitely can be a hard hitter, though.

The preseason game against the Ravens where he forced a fumble by hitting Bernard Pierce like a freight train comes to mind.  Likewise the Raiders game where he flattened Terrelle Pryor and Darren McFadden.

Yeah. I must admit, he hit hard also, as did Marlon McCree, but perhaps Davis just looks better doing it.  Could be my own partiality, but Harris and McCree---and Morgan to en extent---knocked the hell out of people and looked somtimes reckless and out of control doing it.  TD's moves seem more fluid and focused. He has no wasted moves which are well in tune with closing speed that is something to behold.  Some of their hits were "ugly" in a good sort of way, but TD's hits seem like the culmination of the perfect storm (more times than not).
