Countdown to the Hornets!

A Gary Harris would really help this team. I would love to grab him and hairston(no way he makes it past 20 tho). Detroit is a team that could improve drastically as they under achieved this past year with more talent than we have currently on our roster. Wouldnt be surprised if the pick we get from them is at the back end of the lottery if we have to wait another year for it. Either way we can improve this team that is not far off from being very competitive in the playoffs. I love the experience guys like kemba and mkg are getting with this taste of the NBA post season. This series will be a blessing in disguise. This young guys will be very hungry, and they are learning now what it takes to play championship level ball. Go Cats! Go Hornets!

- A team with Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings will never be successful.

- Hairston could easily fall to the end of the first due to character concerns.

Exactly.

I think Detroit will be better next season. If we get that pick this year, it will be the #9th or 10th pick. It probably won't be that good in 2015.

Detroit Pick: Gary Harris / James Young / Nick Stauskas

Portland Pick: Cleanthony Early / PJ Hairston / Zach Lavine / KJ McDaniels / Clint Capela

Kind of Sentimental for me that tonight is probably the last bobcats game.   Not going to be devastated and excited to pull for the Charlotte Hornets next season! But still kind of sentimental at the same time.

I bought a Bobcats hat today to pay homage.

Either way I hope we win.  But a new beginning is exactly what this franchise needs.

I don't like Jennings nor J Smith's approach, but they are talented NBA starter level players.  With an emerging talent like Drummond, and decent young players like Caldwell-Pope and Monroe... those guys with some decent FA and some half decent coaching could be improved.  Look at the East..  There is no way you could tell me that team can't be more competitive based off of two players.

Exactly.

We seem to be very much on the same page so far this offseason..  Tho I feel we have a better shot at Early, Hairston or LaVine with Detiots pick than we would with Portland's.  Those guys are all fringe lotto picks imo.  I like Young and Stauskas a lot as well, but I could see them both fall a bit.  McDaniels feels too much like MKG for me right now, but I like him as a player.

I'd rather get it this year also. Detroit may fumble around next year but our luck they will become a playoff team.

I might be one of the few, but I don't want Detroit's pick this year.

The best player you're probably going to get a number 8 is Gary Harris, and I don't see that much more of a difference between Harris who could go 8th and Hairston who good go 28th.

I'd rather wait one more year and hope they are in the top five in 2015 so we can grab my man Kelly Oubre.

Agree with this. Yes, the players at the top of this draft could be/are awesome. But down at 9th? Not so sure. I think I'd rather have their pick next year.
