Goodell now wants to make the draft 4 days instead of 3

Are the ratings really that good beyond round 1? Wow, there must be more draft fanatics than I thought. After rd. 2, I check it periodically to see who the Panthers picked but cannot listen to any more Kiper, McShay or Berman. Two days is enough.

You wouldn't think so but that could be why he keeps moving it all around. But i fore see soon he will be loosing fans.i mean i use to be excited now im ready to just get it over with. One week this guy is bad the next he is a top ten pick. Plus mock drafts an nfl draft shows are getting old real fast. I won't April draft back the two day one.

It is just about getting more money from the networks.  Nothing is about quality or the fans.

the only thing I agreed with in the OP link

The NFL moved the draft back to May this year, and I don't know about you, but I'm already tiring of hearing how this or that player's work ethic is terrible, and I think by the time the draft comes up on May 8 we'll hear that Teddy Bridgewater clubs seals when he's away from football. Hopefully this guy "Anonymous Source" has a good phone charger because he's been talking non-stop trash on draft prospects.

Ford and Old Spice love the idea.

16 picks per day for the first 2 rounds, then each round a day.  Also extend the time allotted for draft choices to be made.  20 minutes per first round pick, 16 for the second, 10 for every round after.  Commercials will run on sidebars as Gruden and Co constantly plug Pepsi and Papa Johns.  All team representatives will be required to wear sponsor clothing, and each draft pick will be allowed to sign with whatever company they want to represent them at the draft and get to make a 5 minute speech plugging their product.

There Goodell, I did the work for you.

I think it's a stupid idea but if his job is to make money and they think this will make money, then maybe it's not so dumb. Mark Cuban is just jealous his league is run by the players and half of their teams lose money. The NFL is more popular than ever and a change like this is so minor that I don't see why it matters.

I just don't like how much he is trying to change things, not necessarily this idea. But he's trying too hard to be written in the history books and it's annoying me

I agree, however, since NFL Europe was such a smashing success, we should consider expansion into countries where it would be the least favorite sport, behind sports such Soccer, Cricket, Curling, and Bull fighting.

They should draft one player a day every day starting the day after the Super Bowl until the first regular season day. Somebody do the math, will that work?

The average number of picks over the last 10 years is 255 and the number of days between the Super Bowl and the start of the regular season this year is 254
